Urtekram’s business concept is based on environmental considerations and environmentally friendly products. Produced in Denmark Urtekram products are certified organic by ECOCERT.

We think it is important to make demands, both in terms of the products you put on your skin and the ones you eat. Accordingly, our products are organically certified. They are pure, simple and organic body care products with no hidden surprises or unpleasant substances.

We use as much recycled material as possible and make use of energy conservation to reduce production costs and save energy, which benefits the company as well as the environment. Only energy generated by wind and burning hay is used in manufacturing and our production does not cause any harmful waste emissions. We do not use oil at all.

We have chosen to certify our body care products in cooperation with an expert in this area to be able to document and guarantee the organic nature. Hence, Ecocert is your guarantee that we meet the strictest requirements for organic body care products as Ecocert has developed a recognised international standard for natural and organic body care products.

No animal testing

Naturally, all products must be tested – just not on animals! Therefore, we use voluntary test persons for testing our body care products. However, we not only work actively against animal testing – we also use solely vegetable ingredients in all our products.

We have chosen to comply with the standard supported by a coalition of animal protection organisations in Europe: The European Coalition to End Animal Experiments (ECEAE). In short, the company must set a date after which no animal testing has been carried out. We have set 1998 as our guarantee date.

Hence, we at Urtekram can guarantee that we do not carry out animal testing, neither in our production nor in our product development. Similarly, we have not asked others to carry out animal testing on our behalf, nor do we use ingredients tested on animals.
